Lenovo IdeaPad U1 Hybrid

Lenovo shocked everyone at the 2010 CES Thursday with the release of the Lenovo IdeaPad U1 Hybrid PC! Lenovo didn't just blend components and choose software this time; no, they just skipped all the optimization and just hinged the two computers together! With a detachable tablet PC, this UltraPortable Tablet hybrid runs two separate operating systems, uses different processors for each mode, and switches seamlessly between the two as the Tablet is being detached.

A Laptop Like No Other

As the Lenovo IdeaPad Brand once again bring us a computer with the consumer in mind, the IdeaPad U1 Hybrid brings efficiency and design together with freedom of choice. When attached to the Laptop base, the IdeaPad U1 will use the latest Intel Processor and run Windows 7 for the web-surfing experience we've come to expect from the IdeaPad line.

The IdeaPad U1 will have a footprint just under that of a piece of notebook paper, and be a very light 3.8 pounds. Don't let this small stature surprise you, as both the Laptop and detachable Slate Tablet modes will support up to 5 hours of 3G web-browsing, with 60 hour support for standby. With integrated microphone, camera, and stereo speakers, this new Lenovo IdeaPad product really packs a punch.

Detachable AKA Portable

When detached, the Lenovo IdeaPad U1 Hybrid will run off of Lenovo's customized Skylight operating system and feature an ARM processor for all of your multimedia processing needs. With an 11.6 inch HD LED MultiTouch screen, the detached slate tablet is perfect for the 'Social Networker' we all know and love - no matter how much they tweet.

Featuring a six-section display, you can administer all of your messaging and networking profiles at once, including your GMail, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and many more. You also have the option to switch into 4-section display which is perfect for viewing photos, listening to the latest music, watching videos, and editing documents.

Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t MultiTouch - Industry's First

Lenovo also released the IdeaPad S10-3 and IdeaPad S10-3t MultiTouch at CES 2010. Building on the refresh to the IdeaPad S10-2, Lenovo went even further and turned the IdeaPad S10-3 into the IdeaPad S10-3t enhanced with Lenovo NaturalTouch Fingertip Touch technology. They then pushed the envelope, by swiveling the screen and turning the IdeaPad Netbook into a tablet.

Remarkable Design - As Always

Being the first convertible Netbook Tablet to feature a Capacitive MultiTouch screen, the IdeaPad S10-3t features the Intel Atom N470 processor with up to 2GB of memory. With a 10.1" HD LED Backlight Display, integrated 1.3 mega-pixel camera, and remarkable design, the IdeaPad S10-3t Netbook Tablet is ideal for the consumer looking for an on-the-go web-surfing experience.

Viewed above, in an image from our representative at CES2010,  it can even be flipped around and used as an 'e-book' by flipping the pages with your fingers.

Rich in sound and graphics, this IdeaPad Netbook also offers DirectShare software to get those important files from one location to the next in a zip. It also comes standard with Maplife, location-based mapping software, and a Quick Start 'instant on' function allowing users to access online information quickly without having to boot the Windows Operating System.
