Lenovo Unveils IdeaCentre A310 | The Perfect Solution for Home Multimedia
The computer, specifically the Lenovo IdeaCentre, may soon replace the television as the main entertainment center for the home. For many young people, though, that time has already come, especially considering the new home entertainment PCs being released these days.

It’s fitting, then, that as half the world slept, Lenovo unveiled the latest of what will likely be a long line of home entertainment machines at an expo in Japan. Behold, the Lenovo IdeaCentre A310, a new all-in-one machine that fits perfectly on the kitchen counter, or better yet, where your television used to be.
IdeaCentre A310 – Perfectly Suited for Home Multimedia
The IdeaCentre A310 is powered by an Intel Core i3-350M, Windows 7 Home Premium, and up to 8GB of RAM, making it fast enough to do regular computing and simple multi-tasking. At the same time, it’s perfectly suited for watching movies, listening to music, playing games, watching Internet television, or even surfing the net from the comfort of your couch.
The frame is very thin (18.5mm) and its low profile makes it quite appealing visually. What really sticks out, however, is the 21.5-inch (1920 x 1080) LCD display, which is powered by an Intel HD graphics card capable of providing seamless high-definition video playback.
There’s no optical drive, but there are plenty of ports for uploading data and files via media cards and USB drives. There are four USB ports and a media card reader. There’s even a 500GB hard drive in case you had any other worries about storing media without discs.
Beautiful Display
Connecting to the Web is simple. There is, of course, an Ethernet port, and also a wireless card to ensure that you get a signal anywhere in the house. There’s even an integrated webcam atop the display to connect you to your friends and family.
There’s also an integrated Bluetooth chip, which connects the wireless keyboard and mouse that come with the machine.
No details have yet been released regarding price or release date, but we’ll let you know as soon as the information is available.
